Music 173: instructions for
using computers (Spring 2004)

The main software tools we'll use are:
- Audacity, an open-source (free) sound
editor;
- Csound, the standard audio rendering package, also
free.
Audacity comes from the Carnegie-Mellon
Computer Science department and is available at https://audacity.sourceforge.net/.
Csound comes from HERE . An HTML
manual can be found on https://www.lakewoodsound.com/csound/
. A good csound resource page is HERE .

started in csound, as shown in class April 6. Some directions for
using the files are in the "README.txt" file.
