A good way to organize your thought and keep on topic might be to address some of the following questions:

• How does the technology used in the piece relate with the way the piece works musically?
• Are there different layers of sound and how do they fit together?
• How is the piece organized in time? For example, how does the ending relate to the rest of the piece? Is it in sections? etc.
• How are sounds being produced or manipulated, and what is the purpose of the techniques used?
• Is there a relationship between the sound sources used and the apparent musical purpose(s) of the piece?
